Since 2013, Morra Mía has been dedicated to sharing authentic Mexican cuisine in El Paso — blending tradition and innovation while staying true to our roots. What began as a vision has grown into a locally loved, family-owned Mexican restaurant committed to serving artisanal Mexican food made fresh every single day.

The Beginning

In 2013, Toni Assael left El Paso chasing a feeling — the city deserved a Mexican restaurant with real depth and zero shortcuts. Seven years later, Morra Mía was born: younger, bolder, and unmistakably barrio.

The Partnership That Built the Kitchen

Toni's father introduced him to José Manuel Delgado — a culinary veteran with 40+ years in Central and Southern Mexican kitchens. Together they built a menu honoring that tradition, anchored by a mole made from 32 ingredients.

A Space That Tells Its Own Story

Warehouse-chic bones, vivid murals, neon signs in Spanish, Coke-bottle chandeliers — every detail was designed to be felt. It's the kind of place where dinner turns into a celebration without anyone planning it.

Café de La Morra Opens in Pershing

When Pershing opened in November 2024, it brought Café de la Morra — an in-house panadería where pan recién horneado fills the air and Buna coffee from Mexico flows all day. A deeper experience, not just a second location.
